Jenny R. Redix
Jenny R. Redix is a lawyer at The Henning Law Firm, P.C. in Kansas City, Missouri. Her practice focuses on personal injury litigation representing plaintiffs in catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a 2009 Missouri Kansas Rising Star.
Jenny is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa and J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. Before entering private practice, Jenny was a law clerk to the Honorable Sandra C. Midkiff of the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. She is also a former adjunct instructor for criminal justice and paralegal programs.
Jenny is a representative for District 3 of The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section. She serves on the board of directors for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section as a Vice-Chair of the Public Service Committee and also serves on its Public Relations Committee. In 2009, Jenny was awarded its President’s Award for her efforts with public service projects. Jenny was a Barrister in the 2008-2009 Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court. She has served on the board of directors for the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL) since 2005 and is currently the CLE Chair. In 2007, Jenny was presented AWL’s President’s Award for her work to create a public charity foundation for the organization.
Prior to practicing law, Jenny was a protective services and rehabilitative treatment provider serving children removed from the parental home due to abuse and neglect. She continues her devotion to social and public service projects as a volunteer, including the annual Ask-a-Lawyer telethon, Read Across America, Step-Up for Women in Shelter, Heartland Habitat for Humanity, Lawyers in the Classroom for DEBATE-KC, and Harvesters Community Food Network. Jenny enjoys gardening, refurbishing furniture and other goods, sitting in the sun reading books, and traveling to visit family and friends.
